The Election Commission says that since the election of the president has been announced, complaints have been reported regarding the pasting of stickers on vehicles in violation of the election rules.
Issuing an announcement, its chairman R.M.A.L. Mr. Rathnayake says that signs, stickers and flags should not be displayed including photos and promoting candidates or parties.
The commission requests the voters to immediately remove the pasted stickers or flags as doing such an act is a violation of Article 74 of the Presidential Election Process No. 15 of 1981.
